The Challenge
Intel's advanced semiconductor fab required motion systems that could operate in ISO Class 1 cleanrooms without generating particles, while achieving nanometer-level positioning for wafer handling.
The Solution
Nexen developed cleanroom-compatible versions of our Zero Backlash Gearheads with special lubricants and sealing. Linear Precision Brakes provided holding without mechanical contact during critical operations.
